Magnesia bricks are widely used in steelmaking furnaces, ferroalloy furnaces, and iron-mixing furnaces in the iron and steel industry due to their high-temperature performance and strong resistance to alkaline slag; non-ferrous metallurgical industrial furnaces, such as copper, lead, zinc, and tin furnace linings; building materials Industrial lime kilns; heat storage cells and heat exchangers in the glass industry; high-temperature calcining kilns, shaft kilns and tunnel kilns in the refractory industry.
Classification of magnesium brick:
Magnesium bricks are generally divided into two categories: sintered magnesium bricks and chemically bonded magnesium bricks. Magnesia bricks with high purity and firing temperature are called direct bonded magnesia bricks because of direct contact of the periclase grains; bricks made from fused magnesia are called fused and bonded magnesia bricks.
Precautions:
Magnesium bricks have lower resistance to hydration at high temperatures. Although the raw materials and products of magnesium bricks are calcined at high temperature, they are still hydratable. So in any case, pay attention to waterproof and moisture.
